New Delhi (JnN). Railways is going to give new facility to passengers from April 1. On the lines of airlines, railway passengers will now also get Joint PNR. Actually, because of the delay of the first train several times, the passenger's second train is also missed. In view of this, the Railways will now issue the Joint Passenger Name Record (PNR) to passengers who hold the second train after one. With the introduction of this new facility, railway passengers will be allowed to cancel tickets for further travel without any money cut due to the departure of the next train due to the first train delay. Explain that this new rule will apply to all classes of passenger. If 2 train tickets are booked for a trip now then 2 PNR numbers are generated in the name of the passengers. At the same time two new PNRs will be linked to the new rules.
There are some conditions on behalf of the railway for refund. In this, the passenger details on both the tickets should be identical. Apart from this, the station where the first train has reached and the station from where the second train is to be held should have one station. This rule will also be valid on tickets booked online or by counter.
If you do not get a refund from the station, you can file a TDR which will be valid for 3 days. If you have booked a reservation from the counter, you can cancel your second train within 3 hours of the actual time of arrival of the first train. With this, the refund money will be found on the counter only. If the ticket is booked online then the station where the first train has reached and the station from where the second train is to be held will have to fill the TDR. Complete refund will be available only after giving complete information.
